Riverside - Awards & Accreditation
ECHG’s supported housing scheme Ivy Court in St Helens won a Gold Award at the Elderly Accommodation Council’s Housing for Older People Awards 2010 while Willowdene Court in the Croxteth area of Liverpool won a silver.
Riverside Home Ownership won Best Affordable Development for Sevenoaks in the Rock Ferry area of Wirral and the Regeneration Award for Kensington Square in Liverpool at the Your Move Property Awards 2009. Rossiter Drive at the Beechwood development in the Upton area of Wirral was shortlisted in the Best Affordable Home category.
In 2009 Kensington Community Wardens won the Homes and Street Champions Award at the 10 Years of Success event sponsored by Kensington Regeneration. Kensington Clean Team won the Neighbourhood Management and Development Champion category while Riverside’s Assistant Director of Operations Peter Yoh was highly commended.
ECHG’s King George’s hostel in London was the runner up in the Andy Ludlow Homelessness Awards 2009.
In the Sustainable Housing Awards 2009 we were shortlisted for Social Housing Provider of the Year and CIRCLE (Construction Industry Recycling Centre for the Local Environment), which is a partnership between Riverside, Plus Housing Group and the Seddon Group, was shortlisted for the Waste Initiative Award.
We won Social Landlord of the Year at Housing Excellence Awards 2009 and 2008.
We won Customer Service Award at the Housing Excellence Awards 2009.
We are one of the first housing associations to be granted the Customer Service Excellence Standard (CSES) by the Cabinet Office.
We have been reaccredited with a Big Tick by Business in the Community for our commitment to education in the Dovecot and Deysbrook areas of Liverpool. We picked up the honour at the BiTC Awards for Excellence 2009 in the Merrill Lynch Education Award category after being originally accredited in 2008.
We won the Good Practice in Partnership Award for the Big Tidy Up in Sefton at the Strictly Regeneration Awards 2009. We were also highly commended in the Good Practice in Neighbourhood Management category for the Kensington Environmental Enhancement Project.
We also won the Best Practice in Partnership Working Award for our Blooming Highways scheme in the Peel Knowsley area of Sefton at the Strictly Regeneration Awards 2008. Own Place was highly commended in the Excellence in Innovation category and Kensington Environmental Enhancement Project and our Bonfire and Mizzy Night Project in partnership with Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service were highly commended in the Good Practice in Neighbourhood Management category.
We became one of the first major RSLs to make an open commitement to corporate social responsibility by becoming a member of independent charity Business in the Community (BiTC) in 2007.
We became the first national housing association whose website has gained the See it Right accreditation from the Royal National institute for the Blind (RNIB) in 2007.
Our Safer Places scheme was shortlisted in the Making Neighbourhoods Safer category and ECHG’s Derby Teenage Parents Project was shortlisted in the Delivering Support Solutions category of the UK Housing Awards 2007.
We became the first top ten RSL to be awarded Charter Mark Status in 2006.
Fusion 21, a pioneering partnership of which Riverside was one of the founding members, won the Innovation in Procurement Award at the Housing Corporations first ever Gold Awards for Excellence in 2006.
Our Customer Service Centre won Support Team of the Year at the Merseyside Contact Centre Forum Awards 2007 after already winning Call Centre of the Year at the awards in 2006.
Our Rufford Road scheme in Liverpool won Best Regeneration Project in the Housing Excellence Awards 2006
In 2006 Helpline was accredited by the Telecare Service Association’s code of practice, which sets standards for us to achieve and provides guidance to help us further improve our service.
ECHG’s Wet Unit in Derby won the Excellence in Tackling Homelessness category of the UK Housing Awards 2006 and the Excellence in Drugs and Alcohol Services category at the Community Care Awards 2005.
